Tri Kappa

Tri Kappa is an Indiana-based philanthropic organization focused on promoting charity, culture and education.  The Salem Beta Tau Chapter of Tri Kappa, a non-profit organization, was established in 1919 and has been serving our community of Washington County for over 100 years.  Fundraisers are held throughout the year with 100% of the proceeds going back into our community by donating to various organizations or causes in need of assistance.  Scholarships are provided annually for each school in the county as well as giving local students opportunities to apply for state-wide scholarships.  We are proud to have sponsored students that were awarded state scholarships in the past.

Our largest fundraiser is the annual Beer on the Bricks event which provides a night of entertainment on the historic bricks of east Market Street in September.  With our sponsors and attendees, we have been able to raise the majority of our funds that go back into our community.  We are grateful for this event and all that support us.

In addition to raising funds for the community, we participate in activities to provide our service and lend a helping hand where needed.  We love our heritage, community and our members who serve with gratitude and a servant’s heart.
